Description
Due a problem in Quartus® II software in 12.0 SP2 and earlier, you may see this error message during the Fitter when compiling designs targeting Stratix® IV devices. Due to this problem, the Fitter runs unnecessary rule checking for the HSSI blocks.
Resolution
To work around this problem, in the Quartus II software version 12.0 and later, use the following assignment in your Quartus II Settings File (.qsf) to turn off GX rule checking in the Fitter.
set_global_assignment -name DISABLE_DA_RULE GX_RULEThis problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
