Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition
    Ethernet
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

Critical Issue

Description

When the Low Latency 40-100GbE IP core transmission is paused, the IP core should still be able to transmit pause frames. However, currently when IP core transmission is paused, the IP core does not transmit pause frames.

This issue applies to all LL 40-100GbE IP cores in standard flow control mode.

A previous version of this erratum that claimed the issue applies in priority-based flow control mode as well, was in error. The issue occurs only in standard flow control mode.

Resolution

This issue has no workaround.

This issue is fixed in version 15.0 of the Low Latency 40- and 100-Gbps Ethernet MAC and PHY MegaCore function.
