Transmitter Reset (tx_rst) Unable to Reset the PHY Channel in Serial Digital Interface II

Critical Issue

Description

The transmitter reset (tx_rst) in serial digital interface (SDI) II is able to reset the soft protocol transmitter (TX) core but not the hard transceiver PHY channel in duplex PHY instance.

This issue affects the Arria V and Stratix V device families supported by SDI II in 12.1 SP1.

Resolution

Use the phy_mgmt_clk_reset. This solution resets both the TX and receiver (RX) channels and is unable to only reset the TX channel.

This issue will be fixed in a future ACDS release.
