RAM: 1-PORT IP Parameter Editor Is Missing a Legality Check for Invalid Options

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
    Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

Critical Issue

Description

The IP Parameter Editor generates an invalid wrapper for the RAM: 1-PORT IP core when you set the memory block type to Auto and the read-during-write mode to New Data. The invalid wrapper allows you to set the read_during_write_mode_port_a parameter to NEW_DATA_WITH_NBE_READ even if it is an invalid option.

This issue affects the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software and the Quartus Prime Pro Edition software.

Resolution

Set the read_during_write_mode_port_a parameter to NEW_DATA_NO_NBE_READ inside the generated wrapper.
