Intel Graphics - OpenCL Image Corruption When Reusing Temporary Image

Content Type: Troubleshooting   |   Article ID: 000102952   |   Last Reviewed: 07/14/2026

Environment

Operating System

Windows 11* Family, Windows® 10 family

Description

A data corruption issue can occur in OpenCL 1.2 on Windows when the same temporary 2D image is reused across sequential kernel executions on certain GPU drivers.

In simplified reproduction scenarios involving multiple sequential image copy operations, data from a previously processed image may incorrectly appear in a subsequent output.

This behavior is only observed when a single temporary image is reused between steps.
