Intel® Partner Alliance Refresh Q&A

Content Type: Product Information & Documentation   |   Article ID: 000101779   |   Last Reviewed: 08/05/2025

Program Overview & Structure

Q: What is changing in Intel® Partner Alliance Refresh?

A: Intel Partner Alliance is simplifying its program structure and moving from a 3-tier plus, 8-role program, to 2 tiers and 5 roles. In addition to these changes, we’re taking this opportunity to add more value for Partners, such as increasing points incentives, expanding exclusive access to NDA content and developer tools, and more!
All Partners outside of Distributor are eligible to earn points, subject to exclusions based on account-specific exceptions.

Q: Why is the program changing?

A: It has been four years since the launch of the Intel Partner Alliance, and this refresh is an opportunity to add more value for our Partners and drive much-needed simplification.

Q: Do I need to take any action upon the program transition, or sign a new Partner contract/addendum?

A: Terms and conditions will be updated to reflect the program changes, but Partners will not need to re-execute the T&Cs.

Benefits

Q: What are the main benefit improvements that our Partners will get through this refresh?

A: All Partners will benefit from a higher points cap, Points Boost for volume-based points earnings, exclusive access to DZP/RDC access, and Showcase Storefronts/Leads.

Q: What changes will occur to Advanced Warranty Replacement (AWR)?

A: Today, Advanced Warranty Replacement (AWR) is provided to all Gold and Titanium accounts (except for CSP, ISV, and Guest partner roles). Gold partners get a maximum allowance of ten (10) units, and Titanium Partners have an allowance of twenty-five (25) units. This means they can have a maximum of 10 or 25 claims at any one time. Once the defective product is returned and verified, the allowance resets.

Going forward:

  • In the program refresh, Prestige-tier accounts will continue to earn AWR as a free benefit, with an allowance of twenty-five (25) units.
  • Partner-tier accounts will not receive AWR automatically but can unlock the benefit if their sales-out revenue reaches $50,000. If you meet this threshold, you will receive an allowance of ten (10) units.
  • Only Boxed CPUs are eligible for AWR, not Tray CPUs. Tray CPU warranty queries should be directed to your Distributor.

Q: What is IDZ-P/RDC-P, and how is that enabling NDA content for all Partners in the refresh?

A: Intel® Developer Zone Premier (IDZ-P) and the Resource and Documentation Center Premier (RDC-P) are privileged access levels within Intel® Developer Zone. IDZ-P provides developers with tools and resources to design and develop Intel-based hardware and software solutions, while RDC-P provides access to NDA content, including Intel product roadmaps. Any Partner will be able to request access to Developer Zone Premier and will be auto-approved without requiring an additional CNDA. This will enable our Partners to access secure documents as needed easily.

Partner Showcase

Q: What are the changes to Partner Showcase in the new model?

  • Storefronts will now be available to all Partners.
  • Organic leads (from showcase) will be available to all Partners. Third-party leads will be available through a pay-to-play model.
  • Offerings pages and support will be discontinued.
  • Solutions Submission support will be discontinued.

Q: What will happen to Storefronts?

Storefronts are now open to all Partners, allowing them to post logos and company profiles. Extending storefronts to all Partners will increase visibility for all program members and may drive some increase in lead generation.

Q: What will happen to Offerings?

We have discontinued the submission of new offerings on Partner Showcase.

Q: What will happen to the Offerings that were recently submitted?

Any offerings submitted have been disabled in July.
