Content Type: Troubleshooting   |   Article ID: 000100650   |   Last Reviewed: 08/04/2026

Description

I previously could not open Intel Graphics Software so I tried to uninstall it through Windows. Now when I performed DDU and reinstall the driver, Intel Graphics Software is not installed but 1.21MB of Intel Graphics Software still remain.

Resolution

As a workaround, you can manually install the Intel Graphics Software from the driver package:

  1. If you don't have it already, install 7zip or a similar file archiver/compressor software to unzip the installer package.
  2. Right-click on the installer file and open it on your file archiver/compressor.
  3. Go to Resources/Extras folder.
  4. Extract Intel Graphics Software installer
  5. Double-click on the extracted installer and this will uninstall the software if it is still being detected in the system, repeat Step 5 to install the software.
