Limited Warranty Policy for Intel® Xeon® Boxed Processor

Intel offers a three-year limited warranty with boxed processors that can be fulfilled by Intel (some are offered with a one-year limited warranty). The warranty eligibility period starts on the original purchase date and doesn't reset if Intel provides a product replacement.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or by jurisdiction. For Australia, the exclusive forum will be Australia and the applicable law will be that of Australia.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under the Australian consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits given to you under this limited warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the Australian consumer law and other laws.

Limited Warranty Policy for Intel® Xeon® Tray Processors

  • For resellers, integrators, and end users, the warranty is provided at your place of purchase.  Intel offers a one-year limited warranty solely to direct customers. 
  • When Intel® Xeon® processors are included in systems from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), they fall under the OEMs manufacturer warranties, and Intel does not provide direct support. For warranty assistance, contact your OEM or distributor.
  • Starting with Intel® Xeon® W-2400 and Intel® Xeon® W-3400 processors, Intel offers a three-year limited warranty with tray processors solely to direct customers. For prior-generation Intel® Xeon® W processors, Intel generally offers a one-year limited warranty solely to direct customers.
  • Tray processors pre-installed in Intel® Data Center Systems (Intel® DCS) offer a three-year limited warranty. Learn more in this product brief.

 

How to check the warranty status of Intel® Xeon® Processors and whether it is tray or boxed

  1. Go to Warranty Information.
  2. Select Processors on Product Type.
  3. Enter batch number (FPO).
  4. Enter full serial number (ATPO) or partial serial number (ATPO).
  5. Click Check products.

Please be advised as part of Intel's ongoing efforts to prevent fraud in the marketplace, in the event the product you submit for warranty support is found to be re-marked or otherwise fraudulent product, Intel reserves the right to retain the product and/or destroy such product as appropriate.
