Description

Unable to confirm if SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions are supported by Xeon 6740E processor.

Resolution

All the Intel® Xeon® 6 family  processors support the SSE instruction set, which includes SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, and SSE4.2. This support allows them to execute SIMD (Single Instruction Multiple Data) operations efficiently, enhancing performance in applications that leverage these instructions.

To check the Instruction Set Extensions supported by Intel® Xeon® Processors, do the following:

  1. Go to ark.intel.com
  2. Either select the processor SKU in the menus or search for the SKU in the upper right search box
  3. Under Advanced Technologies look at the information under Instruction Set Extensions
