Platform Architecture (Catlow) - Intel® Xeon® 6300P-series

The Catlow platform is an Intel server platform that supports the Intel ® Xeon® E-2400 Processors (codenamed Raptor Lake-E) and the Intel Xeon 6300-series processors (codenamed Raptor Lake-E Refresh).

It features several improvements over its predecessor, which supported the Intel ® Xeon® E-2400 Processors.

Key features of the Catlow platform include:

• Support for Intel® Xeon® E-2400 and Intel® Xeon® 6300 Processors, which offer up to 8 cores.
• LGA 1700 socket compatibility.
• Memory support for up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory with speeds up to 4800 MT/s.
• Enhanced PCIe support with 16 lanes of PCIe 5.0 and 4 lanes of PCIe 4.0.
• Use of the Intel C260 Series Chipset (Raptor Lake PCH-S), which includes features such as DMI x8 4.0, up to 8 SATA ports, and a combination of up to 20 PCIe 4.0 and 8 PCIe 3.0 lanes.
• Improved Ethernet options, including 1 GbE i210 (Springville), 1/2/5/10 GbE X710 (Carsville), and 10/25 GbE E810 (Columbiaville).
• Memory Thermal Throttling Control Solution (MTTCS) to manage and control memory thermal performance.
• Validation and support for mixed DIMMs in the same memory channel.

The Catlow platform is designed for server applications, providing enhanced performance, scalability, and flexibility compared to previous platforms.
