Ansys Discovery* Main Menu UI Tabs May Not Display Correctly at 4K Resolution with Built-In Intel® Arc™ Pro GPU or Intel® Arc™ Pro Discrete GPUs

Operating System Windows 11* Family, Windows® 10 family

Description

Users who run Ansys Discovery* 2024 at 4K resolution may experience UI draw issues when selecting tabs within the main menu UI and leaving the cursor over the tab element. A black screen may appear in the main window when hovering cursor over the main menu UI/Tabs.

Due to the temporary nature of the UI display draw issue, it is deemed by Ansys* as having a very low user experience impact. The tab issue is specific to 4k resolution and not seen with 2k resolution.

Resolution

When moving the cursor (for example, over the viewport model) users should see the menu tab draw issue disappear.

As this issue is specific to 4K resolutions, any significantly impacted users should revert to 2K resolutions where the issue does not exist.

Ansys* is aware of the issue.
