Description
While importing the “thermalmixer” sample scene in Ansys Mechanical* with Windows 11 24H2 Operating System (OS) and an Intel® Arc™ Pro GPU, the following script error may appear while loading the file:
“Type mismatch: JavaScript runtime error”
Note At this time, Windows 11 24H2 is an unsupported platform by Ansys*.
Resolution
Ansys* does not currently support Windows 11 24H2 as an OS for Ansys Mechanical*. The most recent platform version supported by Ansys* is Windows 11 23H2.
Ansys* is aware of this JavaScript error with Windows 11 24H2 and will investigate further once the OS is fully supported, currently targeted for 2025.
We recommend using the most recent Ansys* supported OS platform. This issue is not seen in Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2.
