Microsoft Windows* 11 SV2, iOS* 15.x, Android* 9 and above

Description

After setting up a new PC and completing the Out-Of-Box-Experience (OOBE) procedure, I launched the Intel® Unison™ PC App. I noticed that, following the initial splash screen, the app closed and then reappeared, which seemed like a crash followed by an auto-restart. This behavior occurred only on the first launch of the app. Subsequent launches did not exhibit this issue, and all features functioned as expected.

Resolution

This behavior is not a bug but rather an expected process. During the initial launch, the Intel® Unison™ PC App checks with the server to determine the appropriate feature set based on your PC’s information.

The Intel® Unison™ PC app identifies whether the platform is to receive the Premium version with additional features or the Mainstream version with limited features. In this case, the app detected the Premium flavor and performed a second restart to activate those features. This is a normal occurrence.
