Discord* App Crashes when Sharing Screen on Intel® Arc™ Graphics

Description

When sharing Screens on the Discord* desktop app and selecting Better Text Readability for Stream Quality, the app crashes with no exit or error messages.

Resolution

This issue happens only on Windows® 10. Intel suggests upgrading your system to Windows 11* to avoid this issue.

If you prefer or have to stay on Windows 10, try one of the following workarounds:

This issue doesn't happen if you share an Application regardless of the Stream Quality setting. If possible, share only an app window.

This issue doesn't happen with the Smoother Video setting in Stream Quality, regardless of the shared source. If possible, share only using this Stream Quality setting

Finally, please report this issue to Microsoft Windows Support.

Note

Microsoft Windows 10 support will end after October 14, 2025.
