I installed the version from an Intel® VROC installer labelled as 7.7.0.1273, but the version shown in Programs and Features is 7.7.0.1260.
The Intel® VROC package is constructed of several components, each component may have a different version numbering. Below is an example of the components included in the Intel® VROC package for Windows*:
Although all components belong to the same package release, let's say for instance the Intel® VROC 7.7 version release, individual components may have a slightly different version numbering. For example, the software package itself may be labeled with the version 7.7.0.1273 but the individual component for the Intel® VROC Windows* GUI may show the version 7.7.0.1260.
To make sure you are using a production version software package, ask your system vendor to provide you with the Production Version (PV) release of Intel® VROC. You can confirm which Intel® VROC driver version you are using by checking the Intel® VROC System Report. See more details in How to Get the System Report from the Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Graphical User Interface (GUI) Application in Windows*.
If you are interested to know more about what components are included in the Intel® VROC package for Windows*, refer to the Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel® VROC) Release Notes for Windows*.
