Description

Laptops with Intel® Arc™ Graphics may experience distorted image in Fallout 4* on an external monitor when using a USB docking station and have the system configured in extended desktop. Issue doesn't happen if the monitor is connected directly to the laptop.

This issue is seen in docking stations with DisplayLink technology.

Internal display: Running.
External display, duplicate these displays, HDMI (through USB-C dock): Normal
External display, extend these displays, HDMI (through USB-C dock): Distorted
External display, extend these displays, USB-C (directly connected): Normal

Resolution

The distortion is not seen with driver 31.0.101.5444. Update your Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics Driver.

Additional information

Intel also recommends to have other drivers up-to-date installed in your system. Update the docking station driver. Some OEMs offer their own driver, other may direct you to the DisplayLink support page. Please check first on your OEM's support page.
