How to Check the Number of the Performance-Cores and Efficient-Cores for Intel® Processor

Description

Need to know how many Performance-cores (P-cores) and Efficient-cores (E-cores) for Intel® Processor.

Resolution

For processors supporting E-cores and P-cores, use the Intel® Processor Identification Utility - Windows* Version. The utility will also report the low power E-cores if supported by the processor.

If the processor does not support the E-core and P-core then the utility will display just the number of the total cores and the total threads.

For Intel Processors supporting E-cores and P-cores, follow steps below:

  1. Download Intel® Processor Identification Utility
  2. Step 1: Click the arrow next to the CPU Information field.
  3. Step 2: Check the P-core and E-core information.
