Content Type: Troubleshooting   |   Article ID: 000097860   |   Last Reviewed: 01/05/2024

Environment

Intel® XTU

Description

Intel® XTU is displaying incorrect values. These values may show up in Intel XTU intermittently, even after a refresh. Users may experience issues setting values, as well as seeing displayed values inconsistently changing. This includes values such as core frequencies, core voltages, OC TVB values, and others. This issue can be seen in all XTU versions.

Resolution

Intel has observed that some monitoring applications running in the background with Intel® XTU, may cause conflicts that result in reporting incorrect values. These include frequencies, voltages, and other settings. This is often fixed by simply hitting the Refresh button, but it is recommended that users do not use these other applications at the same time as using XTU.

A list of applications that may cause incorrect settings to appear in Intel® XTU is below:

  1. CPU-Z* version 2.0 and later
  2. Corsair iCUE*
NoteAltering clock frequency or voltage may void any product warranties and reduce stability, security, performance, and life of the processor and other components.
