What is the Generation of My Intel® Pentium®, Celeron®, or Intel® Processor?

Description

Need to know the generation of the Intel Pentium, Celeron, or Intel Processor.

Resolution

There is no generation association with Intel® Pentium®, Intel® Celeron®, or Intel® Processor.

Intel is committed to improving the computing capabilities of all Intel processors over time and in the case of Pentium/Celeron/Intel Processor branded products, users should be able to see the features and capabilities progression over time using the product specifications page (ARK) and use the Compare feature.

For example: To compare Intel Pentium Gold 8500, Intel Celeron N4505, and Intel® Processor U300, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to product specifications page (ARK) and enter pentium gold 8500 in the Search intel.com box , located upper-right corner.
  2. Click the processor's link from the search results.
  3. Click Add to Compare button. 
  4. On the same window, type the second processor, N4505.
  5. Click the processor's link (Intel Celeron Processor N4505) from the search results.
  6. Click Add to Compare button. 
  7. On the same window, type the third processor (U300)
  8. Click the Intel Processor U300 link from the search results.
  9. Click Add to Compare button. 
  10. Click Compare Products box, located bottom-center of the page.
  11. View the comparison results.
  12. Click Export comparison box to export the results to an excel file that will be downloaded to your download folder.
