Description

Unable to find Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) documentation for my Intel product.

Resolution

Intel currently publishes Dear Customer Letters (DCLs) for embodied Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) by product family. Embodied PCF includes Scope 1, market-based Scope 2, and the applicable portion of upstream Scope 3 emissions. See the PCF FAQ for more information. The documents are Intel Confidential, with log-in required to download:

Intel continues to evaluate opportunities to estimate the PCF of additional products.

Looking for a way to access this information?
As noted above, the DCLs for embodied PCF are Intel Confidential documents, with log-in required to download. If you currently don't have access and are looking for a way to get access, refer to the following instructions: How to Apply for an Intel® Resource and Documentation Center (RDC) and/or Intel® Developer Zone (Intel® DevZone) Account.

Additional information

  • Intel updates PCF information one time per year, using Intel’s most current greenhouse gas inventory and product manufacturing data. A new product launched in a given year will typically be included in the subsequent PCF publication, which is released annually each third quarter of a calendar year, one quarter after the publication of Intel’s Corporate Responsibility Report.
  • Intel does not provide PCF information for pre-release products, engineering samples, or non-revenue products. Intel does not support products in retired status as these parts are not active, no longer being manufactured, or purchased, and no inventory is available.
