I'd like to add a dedicated graphics card while having integrated graphics in the system.
Yes, adding a dedicated graphics card to a system with integrated graphics is possible. However, when adding a dedicated graphics card, the onboard graphics in your CPU will be turned off, replacing your CPU's GPU, not adding to it.
In such a system, it's possible to enable the integrated graphics in the BIOS and use both the integrated and dedicated graphics simultaneously. However, in the case of a laptop, adding a dedicated graphics card is generally not possible due to technical limitations.
