Resolution

ECC Memory Supported indicates processor support for Error-Correcting Code memory. ECC memory is a type of system memory that can detect and correct common kinds of internal data corruption. Note that ECC memory support requires both processor and chipset support; you will also need ECC memory DIMMs.

Follow the steps below for finding if your Intel Processor support the ECC.

  1. Identify your Intel® Processor.
  2. Go to the product specifications page (ARK).
  3. Enter the processor number in the search box, located upper-right corner.
  4. On the processor page, scroll down to the Memory Specification section.
  5. Look for ECC Memory Supported Field and check for Yes.
