System with Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics Crashes and USB Devices Become Unresponsive

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI D4, Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600KF, GFX Driver Version: 31.0.101.4499.

Description

The Intel® Arc™ A770 system hangs in a particular way. The Operating System is working as expected; however, all the USB devices stop functioning.

Resolution

  1. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to eliminate all previous driver residues and start with a fresh driver installation. Check the article How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver for further information.
  2. After running the program, install the Intel® Arc™ Iris® Xe Graphics driver 31.0.101.4502 or newer.
  3. Update your BIOS version to the latest version available. Refer to the motherboard manufacturer for support with BIOS updates.
