Summary

Steps to fix random crashing on the system and corrupting Windows* files on Intel® Ethernet Connection I226-V.

Description

The Windows* files are corrupted no matter how many times you reinstall Windows* and the system randomly crashes with failed core 1 with PRIME95 and FURMARK.

Resolution
  1. Remove driver completely from Device Manager.
  2. Reinstall the driver with the latest version from the Intel® Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack.
  3. Right-click on the network / Wi-Fi icon in the system tray.
  4. Choose Open Network & Internet Settings and navigate to Advanced Network Settings.
  5. Select Change Adapter Options to view all network cards installed on the computer.
  6. Right-click on Intel® Ethernet Connection I226-V and select Properties.
  7. Find Internet Protocol v6 (TCP/IPv6) from the list under the Networking tab, and disable it.
  8. Contact your ISP to investigate further on the switch side configuration.
