Which 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors Do Support Intel® QuickAssist Technology (Intel® QAT)?

Do all Sapphire Rapids processors support Intel QAT (QuickAssist Technology)?

All 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors support the Intel® QAT Acceleration Technology, which means the Intel® QAT driver can be installed and used. However, depending on the processor SKU, there may or may not be dedicated Intel® QAT hardware available. If dedicated hardware is available, the Intel® QAT driver uses it for acceleration, freeing CPU cores. Without dedicated hardware, the Intel® QAT driver runs using CPU cores.

Refer to ARK to determine which processor SKUs have dedicated Intel® QAT hardware.

• Example: Intel® Xeon® Gold 6430 Processor does not have dedicated QAT hardware. It will still run the Intel® QAT driver but using CPU cores, that's why the line Intel® QuickAssist Software Acceleration says Yes.
• Example: Intel® Xeon® Platinum 8480+ Processor has dedicated QAT hardware available. This is noted in ARK under Advanced Technologies. Any SKU that has dedicated Intel® QAT hardware available will list it in the Advanced Technologies section.
