Flickering Textures and Corruptions in Mafia 2: Definitive Edition*

At the beginning of Chapter 2, just after the train station cutscene, while driving down the hill, you can see some flickering textures/corruptions (black columns all the way up from the street ahead to the sky, and also in the sky far in the horizon). There are also poor performance issues making the game difficult to play. This behavior can be seen later in the game.
Issue is not seen with driver 31.0.101.5444. Install this or a newer driver.
