While using an Intel® Processor on a system, the reported memory speed is lower than the maximum speed listed on the product specification page for that processor.
Intel® processors come in four different types: Single Channel, Dual Channel, Triple Channel, and Flex Mode. The maximum supported memory speed may be lower when populating multiple DIMMs per channel on products that support multiple memory channels.
Detailed information regarding the speed differences when multiple DIMMs are populated can be found in each processor’s datasheet under System Memory Interface.
