Black display occurring when unplugging the HDMI cable on the extended monitor using two-display setup on OEM laptops.

Resolution

Perform the troubleshooting steps below to diagnose and fix the problem.

  1. For OEM devices, contact Computer Manufacturer Support Websites for the best graphics driver compatibility with your system.
    • Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes.
  2. For the latest Intel generic graphic drivers visit Download Center.
  3. Perform Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers.
  4. Check corrupted files and repair them.
