Unable To Complete Installation When Installing Drivers for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics

What to do when you are have issues when installing drivers for installing Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics

Description

When installing drivers for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics, the progress bar will stop progressing and may freeze the system completely.

Resolution

Check if you have previous drivers installed

Do the following:

  1. Press Windows Key + X
  2. Click on Device Manager.
  3. When device manager is opened, click View on the top menu and select Show Hidden Devices.
  4. Double-Click on Display Adapters and check there are any greyed out graphics drivers.

When you see there are hidden graphics drivers installed in the driver manager

  1. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) (Refer to How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver)
    NoteThe Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) completely removes all graphics drivers and ensures that there is no hidden files affecting the drivers.

 

If no hidden drivers are found, contact Intel Customer Support.
