Intel® Arc™ Control Studio Does Not Capture with HDR Turned On

Troubleshooting Steps to fix the issue with the HDR Mode enabled.

Description

Whenever the HDR option is turned on:

  • The Intel® Arc™ Control Studio capture feature doesn't work or creates a 0 bytes capture file.

or

  • The toggle button will automatically return to its original position and the following message will appear in the lower right corner: Could not start capture. HDR mode enabled for the selected monitor.
Resolution
  • HDR Capture has been enabled as of version 1.74.5379.0. Ensure your driver is up to date.
  • If you are already running the latest version of Intel Arc Control, try the following:
  1. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller,
    • For more information about this tool, you may visit How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver.
  2. After running the DDU, install the latest graphic drivers of the system. You may visit the Download Center to obtain the latest drivers.
