After Power Recycle D50TNP Comes Back with Very Slow Performance

Provides solution of the slow behavior after D50TNP experience a Power Recycle

Description

When D50TNP with an enclosure of 4 nodes, experiences 1 Node failure, and after power recycling all Nodes from the D50TNP system experience a very slow behavior.

Normal boot time usually takes 1 min but after the power recycle the node takes up to 7 mins.

Resolution

This is a known issue published on the Specification Update for Intel® Server D50TNP

For a fix, an IPMI command needs to be executed as follows:

  1. Run the IPMI command: ipmitool -b 0x06 -t 0x2c raw 0x2e 0xdf 0x57 0x01 0x00 0x02
  2. Restart the D50TNP system
  3. Check if the issue is fixed by monitoring the system performance.
