Unable to Install Intel® Arc™ Graphics Driver on Ubuntu*

Description

When installing an Intel Graphics Driver following the installation instruction on dgpu-docs.intel.com, receive error message: Bad return status for module build on kernel: x.xx. x-xx-generic (x86_64) Consult /var/lib/dkms/intel-1915-dkms while performing Step 3: Install DKMS kernel modules.

Resolution

Check if kernel version is 5.17.0-1020-oem with command uname -r.
Uninstall all other kernels. Ask Ubuntu Community for more details.
Re-do step 3 on dgpu-docs.intel.com and proceed with the installation.
