Intel Connectivity Performance Suite Uninstall Failed Error or Error Code 1607 in Intel® Driver & Support Assistant

Description

When I try to install or uninstall my Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite, I get the error "Uninstall Failed — The uninstallation of previous versions of Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite failed. The installation will be canceled," and when using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA), the update keeps loading or stays pending with error code 1607.

Resolution

  1. Uninstall Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) using the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Uninstaller.
  2. Open Add or Remove Programs and verify Intel® DSA has been fully removed.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Check the Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite System Compatibility to confirm your system is supported.
  5. Manually install the latest version of Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite for Intel® Wireless Products. Note: If you need to uninstall, are having issues uninstalling or removing Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite, or need to roll back to an older version, refer to How to Uninstall or Roll Back to an Older Version of Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite Software.
  6. Before reinstalling Intel® Driver & Support Assistant, refer to Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Fundamentals.
  7. Install the latest version of Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.
  8. Restart your computer.
