Is It Possible to Install the Intel® Xeon® W Processor without a Carrier?

Carriers are needed to properly align and install the CPU onto the motherboard. Intel® Xeon® W processor families have their own required carriers.

Processors should only be installed with a processor carrier. If a carrier is not used, there is a risk of damaging not only the motherboard socket but potentially the processor's pins and thermal solution as well.
