Description

Getting an error message: Installation failed when Installing Intel® Graphics Driver.

Error messages may also include:

Installation failed, write error

Resolution
  1. Access Device Manager, then expand Display Adapters option.
  2. Right click the Intel graphics driver and select Update Driver.
  3. Click Browse my computer for drivers.
  4. Select Let me pick from all of available drivers on my computer.
  5. If no older drivers are stored in the system, select Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, Standard VGA Graphics Adapter or something similar, then click Next.
  6. Once an older driver is set, update driver from IDSA.
  7. Reboot system for installation to take effect.

For errors regarding write error:

  • Follow steps 1 to 4 then the proceed to do the following:
  • After selecting Let me pick from all of available drivers on my computer, look for the latest driver on the list.
  • Click next and IDSA should show that all the drivers are up-to-date.
