ASUS ROG strix x670e-e gaming Wi-Fi. Ethernet Controller I225-V.

Description

The intel® "igc" kernel module keeps crashing on a ASUS* ROG strix x670e-e gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, which has an Intel® Ethernet Controller I225-V, Linux* kernel 5.19.13-arch1-1. Attempted various workarounds, but the system is unable to stay online longer than an hour. The main issue is the igc: Failed to read reg 0xc030 line.

Resolution

The Linux* kernel version 5.19 has EOL late October, here.

Update the kernel version to latest 6.0.10. and retry.
