Using Higher Speed Memory than the Supported Memory Speed for Intel® Processor

Can I use memory with a higher speed than the Intel® Processor's supported maximum memory speed on my system?
It may be possible to use a compatible higher-speed memory on a system but the speed will be downgraded to the maximum speed memory supported by the Intel Processor.
Example: If you are using a DDR4-3200 on a system with Intel Processor that supports DDR4-2666, the memory speed will be operating at 2666 because this is the maximum supported memory speed for the installed processor.
