“A Newer Driver Is Already Installed” When Installing an Intel® Graphics Driver

Description

Error message: "Something's not right. A newer driver is already installed. Do you want to force the installation?" when installing the Intel Graphics driver.

Resolution

This is expected behavior. This message appears because the driver you are installing has been identified by the installer to be an older Intel Graphics driver than the one currently installed.

This message can appear when installing a driver with a higher driver version number than the one currently installed due to the current driver installer logic. You can proceed with the installation if this message is received.
