Intel® NUC Shows a Black Screen After a BIOS Update

The system has power but only displays a black screen.

Resolution

How to potentially fix a failed BIOS update on an Intel® NUC Product:

  1. Download the latest BIOS recovery file for your Intel® NUC on Download Center.
  2. See the Technical Product Specifications for Intel® NUC Products for details about where the security jumper is located.
  3. Follow the steps for BIOS Recovery by Security Jumper:
  4. After any BIOS update, Intel recommends the following steps
    1. Press F2 during start up to enter BIOS Setup.
    2. Press F9 to set BIOS default values.
    3. Customize any BIOS settings, if desired (optional).
    4. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
  5. If the issue persists, contact Intel Customer Support.
