Multiple Errors Were Reported from System Event Log (SEL) on Intel® Server Board S2600WFTR

Description

A newly replaced server board is having multiple issue with errors below:

ERROR DESCRIPTION
01/28 System fan 1 has low RPM

CRITICAL event: VRD Hot reports its limit has been exceeded. (Processor VRD HOT: CPU 2)

Warning event: BB P2 VR Temp reports the sensor is in a low, but non-critical, and going lower state. Sensor reading: -106.000000 degrees C. Threshold value: 5.000000 degrees C.
CRITICAL event: BB P2 VR Temp reports the sensor is in a low, critical, and going lower state. Sensor reading: -106.000000 degrees C. Threshold value: 0.000000 degrees C.

Warning event: PS1 Status reports a predictive failure due to under-voltage has been detected that may result in power supply failure.
Warning event: PS1 Status reports the power supply's input (AC/DC) has been lost.
Informational event: Pwr Unit Redund reports full redundancy has been lost.

Resolution

  1. Update the Firmware to latest as the server may not be providing a valid reading.
  2. Test the server directly connecting it to the wall outlet for the PSU errors detected on PSU1 and PSU2.
  3. Try spare units for the components reporting an error to isolate the issue.
  4. If the issue still persists, contact Intel Customer Support for Support.
