How to Know If the Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant Server Was Created Using Intel® EMA Multi-Server or Single-Server

Operating System

Windows Server 2016 Family*, Windows Server 2022 Family, Windows Server 2012 family*

Description

Unable to determine if EMA installation is a single server, or a multi-server installation in order to add servers to the EMA installation.

Resolution

  1. Login into the EMA WebUI as Global admin
  2. Select the Server Settings tab
  3. Check current value at Admin Portal Local option

  • If the Admin Port Local is 1 then it is a single server install and cannot be upgraded.
  • If the Admin Port Local is 0 then it was installed as Multi-server and can be upgraded to use Multiple servers.
Note

Changing the setting in the WebUI will not change the server from a single-server installation to a Multi-server installation.
