Description

  • Driver cannot be loaded.
  • General update routine always terminates with 0x8007012a error message.

Resolution

To solve this issue, Try the following steps:

  1. Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
  2. Check if Windows Update and Background Intelligent Transfer services are available and running.
  3. Press the Windows key+R to open Run.
  4. Type services.msc.
  5. Press Enter to open the Services app.
  6. Double-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK If the status is Running, right click then select Restart.
  7. Double-click Windows Update.
    • If the Startup status lists Stopped, click Start and then click OK.
    • If the status is Running, right click then select Restart.
  8. Reset Windows Update Components.
