Description

Wake-on-LAN (WoL) is a hardware/software solution that wakes up your computer remotely from a low power mode or off mode. The computer must have an Internet connection and be plugged into power for WoL to work.

Note

Not all devices support Wireless Wake-on-LAN.

For Intel® Server Board S2600ST and S2600WF Family there is no option on boards for hibernation. The firmware does not support this type of operation.

You can test the customer board using the command: powercfg /hibernate on

The board will display an error message showing that WOL is not supported.

Resolution

Intel® Server Board S2600ST and S2600WF Family do not support the Wake on Lan Windows* feature, due the firmware not compatible with this feature.
