Windows Photo Viewer Shows Pixelated Images

Steps to resolves Windows Photo Viewer application's pixelated images

Description

All other photo viewers are working fine. However,  Windows Photo Viewer can't display pictures in proper resolution, showing pixelated images.

Resolution

If you are using driver version 30.0.101.1191 or newer, then rollback your driver to a previous version to resolve the issue.

If the issue persists even after rolling back to the previous version, then Run the file checker tool from Microsoft.

  1. From the desktop, press the Windows + X shortcut key combination.
  2. In the menu, select Command Prompt (Admin).
  3. In the command prompt window, type SFC /scannow and press Enter.
  4. System file checker utility checks the integrity of Windows system files and repairs them if required.

After the process is complete, reboot the computer.

NoteSystem File Checker can be run from Windows PowerShell (Admin).On the User Account Control (UAC) prompt, click Yes.

 If the issue persists, contact the system manufacturer for further assistance.
