Windows Server 2019

Description

System crashes with error DRIVER VERIFIER DMA VIOLATION at startup if Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (Intel® VT-d) is Enabled in BIOS.

Resolution

Follow this steps:

  • Install Windows* OS and latest Intel® VROC drivers with VT-d disabled
  • Enable Limit CPU PA to 46 bits in BIOS
  • Enable VT-d in BIOS

Additional information

Boot drive must be detected in BIOS
