Description

Unable to configure the Intel® Server Systems to automatically power on when AC power is restored after an outage, power interruption, or maintenance shutdown. This feature is essential for remote data centers, unattended systems, and maintaining business continuity.

Resolution

  1. Power on the Intel server system using the front panel power button.
  2. Press F2 repeatedly during POST (Power-On Self-Test) when the Intel logo appears to enter BIOS Setup utility.
  3. Navigate to the 'Power' tab using arrow keys or mouse (location may vary by BIOS version).
  4. Locate 'After Power Failure' or 'AC Power Recovery' setting and change it from 'Stay Off' or 'Last State' to 'Power On'.
  5. Press F10, save the changes, and exit BIOS.

After reboot, test the configuration by powering off the system and disconnecting/reconnecting AC power. The system should automatically power on when AC power is restored.
