Unable to determine the factors that limit operating system support for the Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) SDK.

Resolution

The Intel SGX SDK installation guide states: Intel® SGX developers need GCC 7.3 or later and latest GNU Binutils in order to address CVE-2020-0551 in their enclaves.
The default version of GNU C Compiler* (GCC*) available in the CentOS* 7 repositories is 4.8.5, which is too low.
