Content Type: Error Messages   |   Article ID: 000059761   |   Last Reviewed: 04/30/2026

Environment

Operating System

Windows Server 2016 Family*

Description

When the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller appears under Other Devices in Device Manager with a yellow bang (!), this indicates missing drivers that may affect system performance or hardware functionality.

This occurs when Windows* cannot automatically identify the Intel chipset components during installation, or when chipset drivers are missing, outdated or corrupted.

Resolution

Download and install the latest Intel® Server Chipset driver specific for your server platform:

  1. Extract the downloaded driver package to a temporary folder on your server
  2. Execute the Setup.exe file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Restart the server after completion

After restart, verify the device no longer appears under Other Devices and is properly recognized in Device Manager.
