Where to Disable/Enable the Intel® Volume Management Device (Intel® VMD) in the Intel® Server Board S2600 Family?

Description

Need to enable or disable Intel® Volume Management Device (VMD) for NVMe storage configuration or to resolve storage detection issues

Resolution

Power on system and press F2 during startup > Advanced > PCI Configuration > Volume Management Device
Use arrow keys to select each VMD that needs to be enabled or disabled (VMD Port 1x, VMD Port 2x and VMD Port 3x of each system Slot and PCIe SSDx can be enabled/disabled independently) press Enter key and select Enable or Disable
Press F10 to exit saving the changes

Note

If VMD options are not visible, ensure NVMe SSDs are properly installed and detected in Hardware Information.
