Unable to find the firmware version of Intel® Ethernet Adapters.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to get the firmware version of Intel® Ethernet Adapters:

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Type the ethtool -i <Device Name> command:
    • Example: ethtool -i ens801f0 

The firmware version will be displayed:

  • Example: firmware-version: 6.80 0x80003cfb 1.2007.0

First field is the firmware or NVM version (6.80).

Second field is the ETrackID (0x80003cfb).

Third field is the Combo Boot Image version (version of the BootIMG.FLB file).
